The Two Cutest Lolly Popkins!

It's always a joy to meet new people especially when they have children that or so full of life!! It was great watching these little cuties interact with each other not only because it was adorable but it also gave me a little glimpse into the future with my little ones. Little Mr. was such ham!! I love it and as for little miss she didn't quite know what to think of this crazy lady running around with a camera!! I think next time she will open up for me and give me a few more smiles!!... Or course now I know her weakness... LOLLY POPS

Katie {NHS Senior}

     I had a great time with Katie taking her senior pictures! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect August day, it feels like spring and let me tell you I'm LOVING it!! Katie is such a happy gal and we laughed a lot while going to a few places for her pictures. She has drop dead GORGEOUS EYES and so naturally my favorites her eyes look fantastical! Here's a little peak of my favorites from the session! Katie, I hope you like them and they make you feel as beautiful as you are inside and out!!

Heather {Nesting}

    I had a busy but FANTASTIC weekend!! Saturday I photographed a beautiful wedding and Saturday I took a little trip with my baby girl up to Minnesota for my cousin Heather's baby shower!! Growing up I remember how I always looked up to my cousins! They are beautiful and warm hearted. I'm so happy that we are able to get together when we do (even though it seriously needs to be more often!!). After Heather's shower which was a great relaxing time we went back to her place for a bit then Heather and I took a little trip to a nature reserve. Thankfully we didn't see any snakes which I heard about! and Lucky me they had a sign posted with "CAUTION: Poison Ivy" and a picture of what it looks like (Poison Ivy was very abundant around the sign and I feel like next time I go trekking threw the middle of the woods I'll be better prepared to avoid the poison ivy (which you might remember I got it on my face in May; if you don't remember let me just tell you, not fun!) Back on track we had a fun time taking pictures and catching up, talking about baby stuff and various other things! I was pretty excited to take a peak at these. On my drive home I had to pull over to feed little miss A (who is 5 months old) and I thought about just editing them in the car as she ate!! Here are my favorites.... Heather I hope you like them I'm SUPER excited to meet your little darling! :)

Smith Family {a day at the park}

What a gorgeous family! I've had the privilege of photographing this AWESOME family several times. Let me just telling you these girls get cuter every time!! We got a beautiful day at park today and beautiful photos to show. Brenna (the oldest) was great at posing for the camera and was a trooper and wasn't affected from slipped in a mud puddle at one point!Bria (the youngest) who wasn't down for pictures too long, even let us make her laugh!

I think I'm going to have a photographer take pictures of what goes on behind the camera sometime. From me playing peek-a-boo making silly noises and faces or in Chanc popping an umbrella, here's a little preview from today's session.



06.11.11 M&B Married at Last!

Yesterday was beyond beautiful! I have to admit I was worried about rain, but I don't think a single drop came down, and there wasn't a hint of humidity (from what I could tell, but I'm not a meteorologist!) As I was on my way to Alta, IA (by Storm Lake) I was reminded of a few years ago when I was in Seattle on the beach. I was awe struck by the beauty the sun was shining threw the cloud and it made me wonder how many people go threw life and miss seeing rolling beautiful landscapes that so many take for granted

Mike and Brittany are one of the couples when you meet them you have the immediate impression that they are soul mates! They are so fun together. I have only gone threw the pictures leading up to the ceremony. The ceremony was one of the most touching ceremonies I've ever seen. They are both truley beautiful inside and out. They have a great foundation with an incredible support system behind them! I hope that they enjoy this little preview! :)

A little sass never hurt anyone!! These two crack me up!!...
